Chicken Burger with Camembert & Blueberry Sauce!

Chicken Burger with Camembert & Blueberry Sauce! Camembert is a French cheese. If you haven’t tasted it before, it might be different at first. The outer shell is sternly softer than the inside, even a bit like how I would say watery. If you can find the French ones, it is great, if not, there are camembert cheeses made by Danish brands and they are also nice. If you don’t want to use it or can’t find it, you can use Brie or Mozarella.

Chicken Burger with Camembert & Blueberry Sauce Recipe for 4 people:

chicken-burger
  • 4 hamburger bread
  • 4 pieces of paneled chicken 
  • Blueberry sauce
  • camembert cheese (at least 2 thin slices of camembert cheese per burger)
  • Rocket
  • Purple Onion
  • Mayonnaise

Chickens:

  • 4 pieces chicken breast
  • 1 egg + 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 glass of water Milk
  • 3 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • breadcrumbs

Add water and milk to a medium-wide container and mix. Add sugar and salt and stir until dissolved. Take the chickens into the bowl and make sure that they have water all over them. Keep the chickens in this mixture for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

Remove the chickens from the refrigerator, remove them from the liquid and dry with paper towels.

Fill the breadcrumbs into a large bowl.

Beat 1 egg with 2 tablespoons of milk. Lay the chickens first in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs, then cover the whole place with breadcrumbs and place them on a separate plate.

After this stage, you can pour some oil in the pan if you want to take both sides of the golden color until you can cook them inside. You can also deep fry or bake in a 200C oven. I cooked it by turning it in the pan with little oil.

For Blueberry sauce:

100 gr blueberries
1 small onion
2 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon olive oil

Chop the onion as small as possible and cook in 1 tablespoon olive oil. When the onions are soft, add blueberries, 2 tablespoons of water and sprinkle with powdered sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat until the sauce is thick and soften the fruits.

Making Chicken Burger:

Cut the hamburger bread in half and apply a thin layer of mayonnaise on the bottom layer. Place the piece of chicken on top and put 2 thin slices of cheese and pour over the blueberry sauce. Place finely sliced purple onion rings and rocket leaves over the sauces and close the burger breads.

You can cook onion rings very light if you wish.
When the chickens are hot, you can add the cheeses and let them melt slightly.
